We strive to provide an atmosphere where your child feels safe, loved and connected. We offer a balanced program of quiet and active play, individual and group time, staff supported and child-initiated experiences with sufficient rest-time to refresh. The pre-school children go out for two hours of outdoor play daily (an hour for nursery children) when weather permits. During inclement weather, children enjoy the use of the indoor gym and its associated activities.
Our children are encouraged to explore their world and to develop theories about it. Their growing independence and sense of self is fostered in our play based learning environment. This includes the development of self-expression through art, drama, music, sensory, gross motor and construction.
Children are supported in developing friendships and in their understanding of their emotions. Communication and early literacy skills play an important part of the curriculum. The children learn to follow routines and listen to instructions to facilitate their entry into junior kindergarten. Teachers will work closely with parents and families to enhance the developmental skills and well being of their child.
